(The reason I say &#8220;tried&#8221; is that I have been corresponding with a very knowledgeable librarian&#8230; I&#8217;ll call her &#8220;Janet&#8221;&#8230; since that is indeed her name&#8230; and I sent her my crafting mystery list yesterday, only to have her come up with several authors I had missed, who I actually have on my site&#8230; Shame on me!!!)<\/p>\n<p>I know I have blogged about this many times, but I truly enjoy reading cozy mysteries with holiday settings during those particular seasons. You should be able to find a lot of mystery books that take place during the different holiday times of the year if you search\u00a0my <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/Christmas-Mystery-Book-List.html\">Christmas<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/Holiday-Mystery-Books\/Thanksgiving-Mystery-Book-List.html\">Thanksgiving<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/Halloween-Mystery-Book-List.html\">Halloween<\/a><\/strong>, and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/Easter-Mystery-Book-List.html\">Easter<\/a><\/strong> pages&#8230; But, the following are\u00a0<strong>cozy authors\u00a0who write (almost exclusively) holiday-themed novels<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/susan-bernhardt.html\">Susan Bernhardt<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>writes the\u00a0<strong>Kay Driscoll Mystery Series<\/strong>, which stars a retired nurse who volunteers at the local free clinic.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/Kate-Borden.html\">Kate Borden<\/a><\/strong> (aka Kate Grilley) writes the <strong>Peggy Jean Turner Mystery Series<\/strong> which takes place in a cozy, little village in New England. Peggy Jean is a widow who is raising her son while performing her duties as mayor of the town. As if that isn&#8217;t enough, she owns the local hardware store&#8230; which she keeps decorated for the holiday seasons.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/allison-brook.html\"><strong>Allison Brook<\/strong><\/a> (aka Marilyn Levinson) writes the <strong>Haunted Library Mystery Serie<\/strong>s. Her first book takes place during Halloween and her second takes place during the Christmas holidays.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/Mary-Higgins-Clark.html\">Mary Higgins Clark\u00a0<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0has written\u00a0<strong>several holiday-themed mysteries<\/strong>, some of which she wrote jointly with her daughter,\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/Carol-Higgins-Clark.html\">Carol Higgins Clark<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/Isis-Crawford.html\"><strong>Isis Crawford<\/strong><\/a> (aka Barbara Block): Many of Crawford&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Mystery with Recipe<\/strong>\u00a0Cozies are set during different holidays.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/Kathi-Daley.html\"><strong>Kathi Daley<\/strong><\/a>: <strong>Zoe Donovan Mystery Series<\/strong> AND <strong>TJ Jensen Paradise Lake Mystery Series<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/Krista-Davis.html\"><strong>Krista Davis<\/strong><\/a> has several holiday themed mysteries in her <strong>Domestic Diva Mystery Series<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/vickie-fee.html\"><strong>Vickie Fee<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0writes the <strong>Liv and Di in Dixie Mystery Series<\/strong> which features a party planner and her best friend in Dixie,\u00a0Tennessee<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/Shelley-Freydont.html\"><strong>Shelley Freydont<\/strong><\/a> writes the <strong>Celebration Bay Mystery Series<\/strong>. This series features a sleuth who is an event planner in New York. (Her <strong>Lindy Haggerty Mystery Series<\/strong> also had several mysteries set during holidays.)<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/Jane-Haddam.html\">Jane Haddam<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0(aka Orania Papazoglou) writes the <strong>Gregor Demarkian Mystery Series<\/strong>. Demarkian is a retired FBI agent who pairs up with author\u00a0Bennis Hannaford, and most of the times, these pairings are during some type of holiday season.\u00a0 Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah, Valentine&#8217;s Day, New Year&#8217;s&#8230; it&#8217;s all work and no vacation\/holiday time for these two sleuths!<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/Lee-Harris.html\">Lee Harris<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0just started writing her second series recently, but she has been writing the <strong>Christine Bennett Mystery Series<\/strong>\u00a0since the early 1990s. Christine is an ex-nun who has a penchant for solving crimes&#8230; and again, these usually take place during a holiday of some sort. Harris has made it very easy for us to be able to identify the exact holiday the book is going to take place during&#8230; since most of the titles include the actual holiday&#8230;. The Christmas Night Murder, The Valentine&#8217;s Day Murder, The Thanksgiving Day Murder, The Mother&#8217;s Day Murder&#8230; even The Cinco de Mayo Murder!<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/Melanie-Jackson.html\">Melanie Jackson<\/a><\/strong>&#8216;s\u00a0<strong>Chloe Boston Mystery Series \u00a0<\/strong>features a meter maid and her dog, Blue. Chloe, try as she might, can&#8217;t make the required weight to qualify for a police department job, but that doesn&#8217;t stop her from detecting the culprits.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/Leslie-Meier.html\">Leslie Meier<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>writes the<strong> Lucy Stone Mystery Series,\u00a0<\/strong>in which her\u00a0main character\/sleuth is a housewife with several children she has to juggle while solving crimes. The very first novel in the series is now called Mistletoe Murder, but when I read it, it was called Mail Order Murder. Meier just collaborated with Joanne Fluke and Laura Levine on a new Christmas book called <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/ASIN\/0758221983\/ref=nosim\/httpwwwmarkes-20\">Candy Cane Murder<\/a>, in which Lucy Stone is featured.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/ann-myers.html\"><strong>Ann Myers<\/strong><\/a> writes the <strong>Santa Fe Caf\u00e9 Mystery Serie<\/strong>s, which stars the chef at a caf\u00e9 in Santa Fe, New Mexico.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/teresa-trent.html\"><strong>Teresa Trent<\/strong><\/a>: <strong>Pecan Bayou Mystery Series<\/strong> &#8211; Betsy Livingston is the &#8220;Helpful Hinter&#8221; for the Pecan Bayou Gazette, in Texas.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/kathy-hogan-trocheck.html\"><strong>Kathy Hogan Trocheck<\/strong><\/a> (aka Mary Kay Andrews): Three of her <strong>Callahan Garrity mysteries<\/strong> are set during different holiday seasons: Halloween, Christmas, and St. Patrick&#8217;s Day.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/Debbie-Viguie.html\">Debbie Vigui\u00e9<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0writes the\u00a0<strong>Psalms 23 Mystery Serie<\/strong>s. This series has two sleuths from different backgrounds: a church secretary and a Rabbi.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/Livia-J.-Washburn.html\">Livia J. Washburn<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>writes the\u00a0<strong>Fresh Baked Mystery Series <\/strong>which features Phyllis Newsom, a retired teacher who becomes a baker in Texas. Phyllis manages to solve mysteries &#8211; while baking her peach cobblers.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/Valerie-Wolzien.html\">Valerie Wolzien<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0writes two series: the Josie Pigeon and the Susan Henshaw series. The <strong>Susan Henshaw Mystery Series<\/strong> is set during different holiday times of the year.
