\"Murder<\/a> \"\"If you are looking for a new\u00a0television\u00a0mystery to follow – that has good mysteries, a lot of humor, great acting, wonderful 3-D characters, and is just plain fun to watch; Murder in Suburbia <\/em>will fit the bill.<\/p>\n

I found this British television mystery series while tracking down the shows that Caroline Catz has been in. For those of you who watch Doc Martin<\/a><\/em> (not a mystery, but a wonderful British television series)\u00a0you\u00a0will definitely know her acting style as exhilaratingly fun to watch. She brings a youthful, girl-next-door quality to her work.<\/p>\n

Getting back to Murder in Suburbia<\/a><\/strong><\/em>.\u00a0<\/em>This British mystery series is set in the suburbs, and features two young detectives. Ash (Caroline Catz) and Scribbs (Lisa Faulkner)\u00a0are both very competent\u00a0detectives. Ash\u00a0outranks Scribbs, but the only apparent rank-pulling is that Scribbs has the driving duty. They are both single, both looking for their Mr. Rights.<\/p>\n

Ash comes from a very posh background, which\u00a0includes\u00a0an upper-crust British girls’ education. She is self-conscious and\u00a0embarrasses\u00a0very easily.\u00a0The equally delightful Scribbs\u00a0is street-savvy. She has a working class upbringing and is rather “saucy” – \u00a0to say the least. (She does not\u00a0embarrass\u00a0easily!)<\/p>\n

The show never explains how Scribbs and Ash became partners, but however it was, it works! The two women are\u00a0friends, confidants, and working\u00a0partners. Of course, being a\u00a0police\u00a0drama, they find time to discuss their cases. But a lot of the time they talk about their private lives.<\/p>\n

Scribbs, it turns out, dates a lot. She is not necessarily picky, and many times is sorry about her choices of men. Ash, on the other hand, is very picky, only dates “eligible” men, and secretly hankers for her boss.<\/p>\n

This show is fun to watch, and the mysteries are actually good. They don’t take a back seat to the inter-personal relationships. I strongly recommend\u00a0Murder in Suburbia\u00a0– <\/strong><\/em>both season 1 and 2.<\/p>\n
