Alice is not only an actress, but also a cat sitter. When not acting, she is sleuthing. Adamson also writes a veterinarian\/sleuth series (Dr. Nightingale.)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/Susan-Wittig-Albert.html\"><strong>Susan Wittig Albert<\/strong><\/a> writes the <strong>China Bayles Mystery Serie<\/strong>s, where Khat (previously known as \u2018Pudding\u2019) is a\u00a0Siamese who adopts China.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/Garrison-Allen.html\">Garrison Allen<\/a><\/strong> writes the <strong>Big Mike Mystery Series<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/annies-antique-shop-mystery-series.html\">Annie\u2019s Antique Shop Mystery Series<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>(Snickers is the sleuth&#8217;s cat.)<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/Marian-Babson.html\">Marian Babson<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0 seems to have a way of entwining cats into almost all of her books! She is definitely a cat lover!<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/Lorna-Barrett.html\">Lorna Barrett<\/a><\/strong> (aka L. L. Bartlett) writes the <strong>Booktown Mystery Series<\/strong> which has Miss Marple, as in a cat, not a Christie heroine.<\/p>\n<p>With her series named <strong>Reigning Cats and Dogs<\/strong>, how could you wonder if <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/Cynthia-Baxter.html\">Cynthia Baxter<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0has cats in her cozies?\u00a0Her main character, Jessica Popper, is a veterinarian who truly loves cats (and dogs!)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/bethany-blake.html\"><strong>Bethany Blake<\/strong><\/a>: <strong>Lucky Paws Petsitting Mystery Series<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/Ali-Brandon.html\"><strong>Ali Brandon<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0(aka Diane A.S. Stuckart) \u00a0writes the <strong>Black Cat Bookshop Mystery Series<\/strong> which takes place in Brooklyn. Darla Pettistone and Hamlet make a dynamic sleuthing duo.<\/p>\n<p>An author who I absolutely knew I had to include is <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/Lilian-Jackson-Braun.html\">Lillian Jackson Braun<\/a><\/strong>. She writes the\u00a0<strong>Cat Who*** Mysteries,<\/strong> or, as others call them, the Jim Qwilleran Mysteries.\u00a0 There are over thirty books (in the series) which have been written since the 1960s. Jim Qwilleran is a journalist, and Koko and Yum Yum are his beloved cats, who help him to solve mysteries.<\/p>\n<p>When I first started thinking about doing this blog entry about cozies with the cat theme, there were a few authors who simply leapt to mind. Amongst them was <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/Rita-Mae-Brown.html\">Rita Mae Brown<\/a><\/strong>, with her <strong>Mrs. Murphy\u00a0Mysteries<\/strong>. Mrs. Murphy and Pewter are\u00a0two cats in this cozy\u00a0&#8220;tail&#8221; and Tucker is a corgi. The three of them &#8220;help&#8221; the humans solve crimes.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/Lucy-Burdette.html\"><strong>Lucy Burdette<\/strong><\/a> (aka Roberta Isleib): <strong>Key West Food Critic Mystery Series<\/strong> stars Hayley Snow and Evinrude, a striped gray cat.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/Janet-Cantrell.html\"><strong>Janet Cantrell<\/strong> <\/a>(aka Kaye George): <strong>Fat Cat Mystery Series &#8211;\u00a0<\/strong>Charity (Chase) Oliver and, Quincy, her cat sleuth in Minneapolis.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/Laurie-Cass.html\"><strong>Laurie Cass<\/strong><\/a> write the <strong>Bookmobile Cat Mystery Series<\/strong>. Minnie Hamilton and her rescue cat Eddie are on the bookmobile (and the case!)<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/Erika-Chase.html\">Erika Chase<\/a><\/strong> writes the <strong>Ashton Corners Book Club Mystery Serie<\/strong>s, in which the main sleuth (Lizzie Turner) has two Siamese cats, Edam and Brie.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/Edie-Claire.html\">Edie Claire<\/a><\/strong> writes the <strong>Leigh Koslow Mystery Series<\/strong>. While Leigh is not a veterinarian, her father is. Every once in a while Leigh works as a tech at her dad&#8217;s office. Also, the second book\u00a0features a zoo vet and setting.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/Blaize-Clement.html\">Blaize Clement<\/a> &amp; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/John-Clement.html\">John Clement<\/a>: Dixie Hemingway Mystery Series\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/Susan-Conant.html\">Susan Conant<\/a><\/strong>, widely known<span style=\"font-size: x-small;\">\u00a0<\/span>for her dog lover series, has a first in her <strong>Cat Lover&#8217;s Mystery Series<\/strong>! That&#8217;s a great addition for the cat fanciers out there.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/Cate-Conte.html\"><strong>Cate Conte\u00a0<\/strong><\/a>(aka Liz Mugavero):<strong> Cat Caf\u00e9 Mystery Series<\/strong>, which stars Maddie James who returns home and is &#8220;adopted&#8221; by JJ, an orange Tabby.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/Krista-Davis.html\">Krista Davis<\/a><\/strong> writes the <strong>Domestic Diva Mystery Series<\/strong>, which features Mochie &#8211; and owner Sophie Winston.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/Claire-Donally.html\"><strong>Claire Donally<\/strong><\/a> writes the <strong>Sunny &amp; Shadow Mystery Series<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>What list of\u00a0Cat Cozies would be complete without\u00a0\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/Carole-Nelson-Douglas.html\"><strong>Carole Nelson Douglas<\/strong><\/a>? Douglas writes the <strong>Midnight Louie Mysteries<\/strong>, some of which include &#8220;his human&#8221;\u00a0Temple Barr. But, Midnight Louie also has some novels without Temple! Carole Nelson Douglas also has a book: <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/ASIN\/158182243X\/ref=nosim\/httpwwwmarkes-20\">White House Pet Detectives<\/a><\/strong>: Tales of Crime and Mystery at the White House from a Pet&#8217;s Eye View.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/k-j-emrick.html\">K.J. Goldstein<\/a><\/strong> writes the <strong>Sarah Blair Mystery Series<\/strong>\u00a0which features a sleuth who isn&#8217;t used to housework and her Siamese cat, RahRah. The books contain quick and easy recipes.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/Kerry-Greenwood.html\"><strong>Kerry Greenwood<\/strong><\/a>: <strong>Phryne Fisher Mystery Series<\/strong> &#8211; Ember (black cat)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/Kerry-Greenwood.html\"><strong>Kerry Greenwood<\/strong><\/a>: <strong>Corinna Chapman Mystery Series<\/strong> &#8211; Horatio (Tabby), Heckle &amp; Jeckle (mousers in the bakery)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/carolyn-haines.html\"><strong>Carolyn Haines<\/strong><\/a>: Carolyn wrote the <strong>Fear Familiar Mystery Series<\/strong> (written as <strong>Caroline Burnes<\/strong>) which features a cat who escapes from a research facility, who then finds himself sleuthing around! Also, years later, Familiar (the cat) has a son named Trouble who is featured in the the <strong>Familiar Legacy Mystery Series<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; which is written by various authors, including <strong>Carolyn Haines<\/strong>, <strong>Rebecca Barrett<\/strong>, <strong>Claire Matturro<\/strong>, and <strong>Susan Tanner<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/Rebecca-M.-Hale.html\">Rebecca M. Hale<\/a><\/strong> is a patent lawyer who writes the <strong>Cats and Curios Mystery Series<\/strong>. This series features a main character\/sleuth who is the owner of an antique shop and also an accountant. She has two pets&#8230; cats!<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/Carolyn-Hart.html\">Carolyn Hart<\/a><\/strong>&#8216;s <strong>Death on Demand<\/strong> has a cat both at home (Dorothy L), as well as in the bookstore (Agatha). AND Hart&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Nela Farley Mystery Series<\/strong> is a paranormal series with a cat.<\/p>\n<p>While attending law school, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/Gabriella-Herkert.html\">Gabriella Herkert<\/a><\/strong> became aware of a case which involved a woman whose will benefited her cat. (Hmmmm&#8230;) The cat became the recipient of a fortune and Herkert (years later) used this case as the basis of her first <strong>Animal Instinct Mystery Series<\/strong> novel&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/Suzette-A.-Hill.html\">Suzette A. Johnston<\/a><\/strong> writes the <strong>Pet Rescue Mystery Series<\/strong> which features an animal advocate who runs a pet rescue agency&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cozy-mystery.com\/diane-kelly.html\"><strong>Diane Kelly<\/strong><\/a> writes the <strong>House-Flipper Mystery Series<\/strong> which stars Whitney Whitaker, a house flipper.
